Diana Sanchez

Diana Sanchez is a dedicated first-grade teacher who has been a core part of the Oakwood community since 1999. She began her teaching career at Oakwood by leading a Kindergarten class for one year before transitioning to first grade, where she has passionately taught ever since. Prior to joining Oakwood, Diana spent four years teaching Kindergarten at Pac West in Gilroy.

Diana’s greatest joy lies in her family, and she cherishes watching it grow. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, relaxing at the beach, reading, and taking quick getaways. Originally from San Diego, Diana pursued her education at Palomar Junior College before completing her degree in Liberal Arts at National University. Teaching has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of her life, and she continues to find immense satisfaction in her career at Oakwood.

"I love being part of the Oakwood community, teaching and watching so many young students grow and remain connected to this special place. It’s truly amazing to see generations here—I now have grandparents whose children I once taught, and now their grandchildren are my students. Just recently, one of my former students, Taylor, told my granddaughter that I was and still am her favorite teacher. Moments like these make me feel incredibly grateful."
